Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and CodeMyCV (“we,” “us”) governing your access to and use of our websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account or using the Services, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

CodeMyCV is an AI resume workspace: resume variants tailored to job descriptions, job-matched outreach drafts, a memory of your profile facts, Google Drive synchronization, and Gmail draft handoff. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Services. You must provide accurate registration information, maintain the accuracy of that information, and safeguard your credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

The free plan permits one account per person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, abuse quotas, scrape the Services, or misuse the platform.

You retain all ownership rights in the resumes, drafts, profile data, and other materials you submit (“User Content”). You grant us a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to host, process (including AI inference and document rendering), and display User Content solely to operate and provide the Services to you.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit User Content and that it does not infringe third-party rights or violate law. You must not upload content you have no right to use or other individuals’ private data. We may remove unlawful content and suspend repeat infringers.

Drive synchronization uses the narrow drive.file scope: the Services access only files you select or that the Services create for you — never your entire Drive. Sharing a file publicly is your explicit action; review the audience before sharing. We are not responsible for files you choose to publish or for the acts of third-party providers (Google, email delivery, hosting).

Authentication via Google is subject to Google’s terms and policies in addition to these Terms.

The Services produce AI-generated output that is assistive in nature and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You must review all output before relying on it or transmitting it to employers or any third party.

Nothing in the Services constitutes professional, legal, immigration, or financial advice. AI features are a drafting aid for your own job applications, and you remain solely responsible for materials you submit to others.

You agree not to: circumvent quotas or access controls; use the Services for automated bulk processing or resale; probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities; transmit malware or unlawful content; impersonate others; or interfere with the operation of the Services. The free plan carries a daily AI-usage allowance; systematic circumvention is grounds for suspension.

The Services are currently offered on a free plan. We may introduce paid plans or usage-based billing in the future; any fees will be disclosed before they apply, and continued use of paid features will constitute agreement to the stated terms.

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Services. You may terminate at any time by discontinuing use and deleting your account (with its data) from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Services.

Sections 4 (license as to retained backups), 6, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CODEMYCV BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITIES (INCLUDING JOB OPPORTUNITIES), ARISING FROM THE SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (ZERO ON THE FREE PLAN).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CodeMyCV from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Services, or your breach of these Terms.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the Services before they take effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
